Retail & Large Distribution Buyer

About the role

The MART24 RECRUTE position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Prefecture of Casablanca. It focuses on managing product assortments for retail and large‑distribution channels, ensuring the right products are sourced, priced and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate prices and commercial terms, and secure reliable supply.
• Monitor market trends, customer preferences and competitor activity to optimise product selection, margins and stock levels.
• Analyse sales data, place and track orders, and coordinate with logistics and store teams.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve delivery or product‑performance issues, and support promotional and merchandising plans.

Required profile

• Experience in retail or large‑distribution purchasing, including supplier sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret sales data, forecasts and market trends.
• Knowledge of inventory management, demand planning and basic supply‑chain processes.
• Effective communication and relationship‑building skills with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and business software such as spreadsheets and ERP/purchasing systems.
• Ability to prioritize, work under time constraints and make decisions in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
• Previous experience in Casablanca or similar markets is an advantage; fluency in French is beneficial, English a plus.
