RFR Customer & Operations Specialist

About the role

The RFR Customer & Operations Specialist will support DHL Global Forwarding’s road freight business in Morocco by managing tariffs, negotiating rates, and ensuring smooth end‑to‑end shipment execution. The role bridges commercial, pricing and operational functions to deliver reliable, cost‑effective road freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update country road freight tariffs with carriers, ensuring validity periods are respected.
• Review pricing policies, adjust rates according to market trends, and develop optimal pricing solutions to maximise profitability.
• Enter and validate local and cross‑border rates in the rate management system for auto‑costing, quotations and auto‑rating.
• Manage carrier contracts, conduct regular review meetings and monitor carrier performance.
• Analyse quotation outcomes by lane, negotiate more competitive rates and support sales with spot‑rate sourcing.
• Coordinate pricing support with Sales, Sales Support and Customer Service teams.
• Execute operational shipments from customer booking through carrier booking, billing and system updates, maintaining ownership of profitability.
• Ensure timely billing and provide customers with complete shipment visibility.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and pricing trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to work with carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding or transportation pricing is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a rate management system for tariff entry and validation.
