Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager leads a sales team in a defined territory or market segment, achieving and exceeding sales targets while building strong client relationships. The role reports to the Commercial Manager and covers coaching, planning, account management and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the assigned sales team, providing coaching, mentorship and motivation to meet individual and team goals.
• Develop and implement a territory-specific sales plan aligned with the Commercial Manager's commercial strategy, setting quotas and sales plans.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to find new business opportunities.
• Oversee sales materials and presentations tailored to each customer segment.
• Build relationships with existing and potential clients and acquire new key clients across designated industry verticals.
• Manage and grow accounts through account management and cross-selling of products and logistics solutions.
• Monitor team performance against KPIs, improve conversion rates and efficiency, and support training and development.
• Report sales metrics regularly to the Commercial Manager and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or another field.
• At least 7 years of sales experience, preferably in a related industry.
• Leadership behaviours such as collaboration, accountability, external focus, growth mindset, inclusion and innovation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• CRM proficiency is a plus.
• Negotiation, presentation, communication and business acumen.
