Senior Accountant

About the role

Buhler Group Casablanca, Morocco is looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Accountant. The role covers recording and preparing daily accounting transactions and reports, and managing accounting so that the company's financial aspects are controlled and managed in line with its policies, procedures and legal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily accounting transactions in line with local standards and internal policies.
• Manage month-end closing (accruals, provisions, reconciliations) and prepare accurate monthly trial balances and tax declarations such as VAT and corporate tax.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including collections, vendor payments, aging analysis and support to cash flow optimization.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, reconcile statutory accounts with group reporting and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with internal and group finance teams and help improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Required profile

• College degree or above in accounting, auditing or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Fluent communication in English and French.

Required skills

• Computer literacy and knowledge of accounting software such as Sage and SAP.
