Senior Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Senior Business Development Manager will lead the expansion of renewable energy activities in Morocco, focusing on securing long‑term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with major industrial electricity buyers. Based in Casablanca, the role covers multiple regions and involves close collaboration with local and international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities with large industrial electricity consumers across Casablanca‑Settat, Tanger‑Tétouan‑Al Hoceïma, Rabat‑Salé‑Kénitra and Fès‑Meknès.
• Negotiate, close and manage long‑term PPAs and solar self‑consumption contracts, including pricing, off‑take commitments and credit guarantees.
• Analyse industrial electricity consumption, tariff structures and potential cost savings to prepare commercial proposals.
• Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, commercial forecasts and regular management reporting.
• Monitor market developments, competitor activities and new commercial opportunities, and sustain customer relationships through project hand‑over.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of experience in industrial energy sales, renewable energy business development or PPA origination in Morocco.
• Proven track record of negotiating and signing energy agreements and an established network of industrial electricity buyers in at least two target regions.
• Strong understanding of Moroccan medium‑voltage tariffs, electricity regulations (Laws 13‑09, 82‑21) and ANRE network‑access conditions.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
