Senior Data Engineer – Azure & Big Data

About the role

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop and industrialise scalable data pipelines and platforms for AXA Global Business Services Morocco. Working on Azure, you will ensure data ingestion, transformation, quality, security and accessibility while maintaining high performance and reliability across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop and optimise end‑to‑end batch and streaming data solutions on Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Functions, Key Vault).
• Model, organise and enhance data architectures to support business needs, ensuring data quality, security and compliance through monitoring, documentation and governance.
• Maintain and improve performance of big‑data platforms such as Spark, Delta Lake and Kafka.
• Collaborate with IT teams, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver innovative data solutions.
• Manage projects independently in an agile environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, with strong Power BI expertise.
• Proven knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and big‑data technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Rigor, analytical mindset and results‑oriented approach, adaptable to agile working methods.
