Senior Engineering Manager – Photovoltaic (PV) Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our IPP Engineering team on large‑scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. You will be the primary technical liaison between the project contracts, EPC contractor and internal stakeholders, ensuring design integrity and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and enforce Power Purchase Agreements, EPC contracts, O&M agreements and other project contracts.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design activities, defining baseline review strategies in collaboration with the Operating Engineer (OE) and Finance (FI) teams.
• Organise and chair internal coordination meetings, ensuring alignment between OE, FI and EPC contractors.
• Approve OE engineer missions, manage engineering decisions, and develop short‑ and long‑term catch‑up plans.
• Identify and mitigate engineering and design risks, and raise key issues with actionable solutions.
• Produce timely engineering and management information reports.
• Ensure reliability, safety and quality are embedded in plant design.
• Support the Project Director/CEO on technical defects and contractual deficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 14 years of engineering and design experience, with strong EPC background on PV projects.
• Proven delivery of at least three full‑cycle large PV projects.
• Demonstrated ability to translate contract terms into techno‑economic analyses.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
