Senior Health Information Systems Officer

About the role

The Senior Health Information Systems Officer will lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities for the STRIDES Morocco Activity. The role ensures that health data are accurately collected, analyzed and reported to support evidence‑based decision making and adaptive program management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and roll out the project’s MEL framework, including the Performance Monitoring Plan.
• Provide technical guidance on health information systems, data management and MEL to project staff and partners.
• Strengthen multisectoral health data management for timely surveillance, outbreak response and interoperability of human and animal health data.
• Lead baseline, midline and endline assessments, and develop data quality assurance procedures.
• Develop and maintain indicator tracking systems, data collection tools, databases and reporting templates.
• Analyze project data, produce visualizations and dashboards, and synthesize findings for performance reports and adaptive management.
• Prepare technical briefs, guidelines and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in health information systems, monitoring, evaluation and learning within public health programs.
• Proven ability to design and manage MEL frameworks and data quality assurance processes.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in synthesizing large data sets for decision making.
• Excellent communication skills to mentor staff and present findings to donors and stakeholders.
