Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Networking

About the role

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Networking joins APMT’s TECH HUBS Service Delivery team to maintain, optimise and secure IT and industrial/automation network infrastructure across the region. The role oversees network projects, business‑as‑usual activities and cyber‑security tasks, ensuring high availability and performance of Cisco IT/OT and Siemens Scalance networks supporting terminal automation.

Key responsibilities

• Drive infrastructural standardisation in line with corporate TECH strategy.
• Implement global and local network programmes, translating requirements into working solutions.
• Lead and coordinate a small team of network experts, managing incidents, problem resolution and lifecycle of network equipment.
• Develop and maintain domain road‑maps, reporting progress and ensuring documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Oversee network‑related projects and enforce standard ways of working across terminals.

Required profile

• 5+ years hands‑on experience with Cisco (Catalyst, Nexus) and industrial Ethernet, especially Siemens Scalance.
• Proven expertise in network design, L2/L3 routing, VLANs, redundancy and wireless (industrial Wi‑Fi, LTE).
• Experience supporting automation systems such as SCADA and PLCs in 24/7 environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including log analysis, packet tracing and root‑cause investigation.
• Fluent English communication and ability to act as regional technical expert.
