Senior Laboratory Supervisor

About the role

COBCO is seeking a Senior Laboratory Supervisor to lead the Quality Laboratory at its Jorf Lasfar site. The role will ensure precise, reliable testing for battery material production and support the company’s ambition to become a global leader in the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the establishment, maintenance and continuous improvement of testing systems, guaranteeing accuracy, consistency and timely results.
• Lead benchmarking activities with clients, suppliers and third‑party laboratories.
• Supervise and coordinate laboratory teams, define training plans and drive performance management.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal quality systems, promote safety, 6S and best laboratory practices.
• Support audits, certifications and cross‑functional projects with Quality, Production and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory supervision/management experience and at least 8 years in a chemical or automotive industry.
• Proven ability to manage technicians or analysts in a laboratory environment.
• Fluent English for daily use in an international setting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of laboratory systems and quality standards.
• Experience with ISO standards and IAETF frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, organization and coordination abilities.
