Senior Lead, AI, Digital and Data Capacity Development

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior leader to shape the global strategy for AI, digital and data capacity development. The role will guide the adoption of emerging technologies across programmes, improve decision‑making, and enhance operational efficiency in the pursuit of better outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive a strategic vision for AI adoption across the organisation, establishing governance frameworks and high‑value use cases.
• Lead global engagement with senior leadership, country teams and functional units to embed digital, data and AI solutions at scale.
• Chair senior leadership forums, hold executive teams accountable for digital and AI utilisation, and convene cross‑entity committees to ensure alignment.
• Oversee capacity‑strengthening initiatives, both formal and informal, to empower staff to maximise the value of AI, digital tools and data.
• Collaborate with programme and operational teams to integrate technology solutions into front‑office delivery and back‑office development cycles.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in AI, digital transformation, data analytics or ICT4D within a global or multi‑regional context.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross‑functional teams and drive organisational change.
• Strong understanding of development sector challenges and the role of technology in addressing them.
