Senior Portfolio Performance Analyst

About the role

The Finance team at Africa50 is looking for a Senior Portfolio Performance Analyst to support valuation and performance reporting of its infrastructure investments. Based in Casablanca, you will work closely with the Portfolio Performance Manager to ensure compliance with IFRS and IPEV guidelines and to provide insightful analysis to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and review valuations using DCF, market multiples, transaction approaches and DDM.
• Compile documentation supporting comparable company assumptions and evaluate cost of capital using CAPM and related models.
• Conduct counter‑analysis of valuation assumptions and value‑creation drivers throughout the holding period.
• Maintain and consolidate portfolio and valuation databases, tracking key performance indicators.
• Monitor financial and operational performance of investments and prepare periodic reports for management, the Investment Committee and the Board.
• Support internal and external audit processes and provide analytical work on portfolio trends and return drivers.
• Assist the Finance team on ad‑hoc financial management matters and contribute to tool selection for data reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investment valuation and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with IFRS and International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) guidelines.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize financial data for senior stakeholders.
• Under supervision of the Portfolio Performance Manager, capable of working independently on assigned tasks.
