Senior Power BI Developer – Business Intelligence Lead

About the role

AXA is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to drive its data‑driven transformation. You will turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that support business decisions across products and services, working with a multicultural, globally distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and industrialise reporting solutions and dashboards using Power BI within a “reporting factory” model.
• Build and maintain official reports and dashboards aligned with product and service operating models.
• Ensure ongoing maintenance, evolution and optimisation of BI solutions (performance, reliability, usability).
• Provide BI expertise and support to product owners, business leads, finance, operations and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple global locations to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
• Apply agile ways of working (sprints, ceremonies, backlog management, iterative delivery).

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Data/Computer Science/Information Systems or related field.
• Solid background in data analytics and data visualisation.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into data models and reports.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.

Required skills

• 5+ years of hands‑on Power BI development (data modelling, DAX, measures, visuals, best practices).
• Microsoft Power Platform and connectors to external data sources.
• PowerShell scripting for automation, deployment and housekeeping.
• SQL Server (T‑SQL, performance tuning), SSAS (tabular/cube models), SSIS (ETL/data integration).
• Dimensional/semantic data modelling, Row‑Level Security implementation.
• Understanding of data‑warehousing concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions, ETL patterns).
• Familiarity with agile delivery tools (Scrum/Kanban, Azure DevOps, Jira).
• Nice‑to‑have: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake (Gen1/Gen2), Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Graph API.
