Senior Programmable Networks Engineer

About the role

Naoris Consulting is seeking a Senior Programmable Networks Engineer to design, build and optimise secure, scalable network infrastructures for distributed and cloud‑native environments. The position is fully remote and part of a high‑impact engineering team working on VPN, programmable networking and high‑availability architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced network architectures across multi‑cloud and edge environments.
• Develop and operate secure VPN, MPLS and distributed networking solutions.
• Implement programmable networking and Software‑Defined Networking (SDN) technologies.
• Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration and monitoring using DevOps tooling.
• Optimize network reliability, scalability and performance, including BGP and IPv6 routing.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and systems issues and contribute to security resilience strategies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in network engineering and systems infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VPNs, MPLS, IPv6, BGP, routing and network security.
• Hands‑on experience with programmable networks, SDN and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and automation tools.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Golang or C/C++.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalable architectures and container orchestration.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cybersecurity, backend and DevOps teams.
