Senior Project Manager - Real Estate Development

About the role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the project delivery strategy, plan and execution of a growing, sizable and profitable real estate and property investment portfolio. The role advises senior management on project status, contracts, scheduling, OPEX and CAPEX, risks, stakeholder management and ensures targets, schedule, costs and quality specifications are met. The position is open to candidates willing to work in Rabat or Tangier.

Key responsibilities

• Set annual business plans and project milestones in line with budget and strategy, coordinating with General Managers
• Direct governance of the project portfolio lifecycle, including procedures, standards and document management
• Manage priorities for value optimization, considering risk, reward, time and cost, and drive change based on market and competitor developments
• Control costs and schedules, prepare strategic schedules and budgets, and review contractor, third-party and consultant payments and variances
• Monitor design and construction budgets, and review and approve contractor, third-party and consultant payments and variance orders
• Drive performance and quality standards of internal teams, consultants and contractors, and recommend tender and procurement strategies
• Manage stakeholder relationships with executives, partners and government officials, and coordinate with Property, Sales and Marketing teams on handover dates
• Liaise with municipal and service authorities on infrastructure and construction matters, and identify operating risks in each development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; an MBA or Master's in a technical discipline is an asset
• 11+ years in project management for engineering or construction projects over $10M
• 5+ years in property development or a consultancy/construction environment
• Excellent managerial, stakeholder and organizational skills to lead large, complex environments
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, project management and financial acumen
