Senior Technical Consultant – Professional Services

About the role

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Technical Consultant to join its Professional Services team within the Customer Success Group. The role focuses on delivering strategic, technical solutions that help customers maximise the value of the Salesforce platform, including enterprise integrations and AI‑driven initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce Platform solutions, ensuring alignment with customer business goals.
• Drive enterprise integrations using middleware tools, REST/SOAP APIs, microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Produce technical design documents, best‑practice guidelines, and oversee testing and release management.
• Identify and manage risk areas, troubleshoot implementation issues, and ensure successful project completion.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience delivering technical solutions in a software domain, with strong object‑oriented programming background.
• Ability to analyse, design and optimise business processes through technology and integration.
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English and Italian (French is a plus), and willingness to travel regionally and occasionally internationally.
• Degree or equivalent experience; relevant certifications are preferred.

Required skills

• Java (or other object‑oriented language) programming.
• REST and SOAP API design.
• Microservices and event‑driven architecture concepts.
• Salesforce Platform expertise, including Salesforce Revenue Cloud.
• Familiarity with Conga, CloudSense, Zuora and AI‑assisted development tools.
