Setup Operator – Stamping

About the role

The Setup Operator – Stamping will work on the shop floor to prepare and run stamping equipment, ensuring parts are produced to tight tolerances while maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute specific production runs, setting up stamping machines according to job specifications.
• Monitor workflow and quality during runs, following established procedures for equipment failures.
• Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training to junior or new operators.
• Conduct periodic inspections and tests of machine components, reporting critical feedback to engineers and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot and repair identified equipment issues, maintaining accurate activity logs.
• Document final product records and maintain production documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar manufacturing or production role.
• High school diploma required; vocational training or an associate degree is preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of common machine tools.
• Setup and adjustment of stamping machines.
• Equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Production workflow monitoring.
