Social Transformation Senior Advisor

About the role

The Social Transformation Senior Advisor will lead the development and embedding of locally‑led programming principles across Save the Children’s global sponsorship programmes. This role ensures community ownership, sustainability and alignment with the organisation’s values of accountability and integrity while driving inclusive, community‑focused change for children.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to sponsorship programmes to design, deliver and measure high‑quality social transformation interventions.
• Advance global thought leadership on locally‑led social transformation, drawing on programme evidence and external learning.
• Generate evidence and create resources that support impactful social transformation strategies.
• Champion inclusive approaches by integrating diversity, equity and inclusion principles into all programme phases.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact using data‑driven and participatory methods, refining strategies continuously.
• Lead strategic positioning, advocacy and scale‑up of proven social transformation models worldwide.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in social transformation, community development or related fields within international NGOs.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and influence global sponsorship programmes.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in evidence generation and impact evaluation.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally and right to work in the host country.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken).
