Software Engineer – .NET MAUI & Blazor

About the role

Forterro is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop and optimise cross‑platform applications using .NET MAUI and Blazor. You will work closely with product managers, UX designers and QA teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that support the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Convert business requirements into well‑structured software solutions for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Design, code, test and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Integrate platform‑specific features such as sensors and camera APIs.
• Consume and interact with RESTful APIs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications and system architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Continuously improve development processes by staying up‑to‑date with technology trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality software in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• .NET MAUI framework with C# for building cross‑platform iOS and Android apps.
• Experience with platform‑specific APIs (e.g., sensors, camera).
• Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Knowledge of .NET 8 and later versions.
• Proficiency with Git and source‑control workflows.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Web API development, WinForms, and DevExpress components.
• Understanding of Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
