Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer ensures that automotive software projects comply with industry standards and customer‑specific development guidelines. You will work closely with software teams to monitor quality metrics, conduct audits, and drive corrective actions throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Verify compliance with standards such as ASPICE, MISRA, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, UN156, and AECDs.
• Perform work‑product reviews, audits, and process adherence checks.
• Support software teams in closing gaps and preventing new deviations.
• Monitor software quality KPIs (resource consumption, complexity, traceability, test coverage) and report risks to leadership.
• Define, update, and publish software quality standards and maturity gates.
• Review software releases against acceptance criteria and ensure proper configuration management.
• Conduct supplier assessments for ASPICE, functional safety, cybersecurity, and AECD compliance, and follow up on improvement actions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of automotive software development processes and standards.
• Experience conducting audits, reviews, and KPI monitoring.
• Ability to communicate risks and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
