Storeroom Clerk - Hotel

About the role

Four Seasons is hiring a Storeroom Clerk for its Oceanfront hotel in Casablanca, which opened in November 2015 and offers 186 rooms, three food and beverage outlets, a pool, fitness center and spa. The role covers issuing, storing, pricing and rotating incoming goods, maintaining stock records and working with the Purchasing Department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local and corporate policies, rules, internal controls and procedures of the Purchasing Department.
• Issue, store, price and rotate all incoming goods; label items with minimum and maximum levels to support re-ordering and rotation.
• Fill requisitions on time according to storeroom hours and outlet requests, and price food and beverage requisitions and transfers.
• Work closely with Receiving so goods move smoothly from receiving to storage, and store goods in their designated areas.
• Mark food items with the date of purchase where possible, keep them off the floor and lock storerooms when unattended.
• Maintain perpetual inventory records for liquor and wine, handle beverage requisitions and track banquet returns to stores the next business day.
• Follow up on after-hours issue documentation in line with internal controls.
• Complete daily, weekly, month-end, quarterly and annual inventories for food, beverage, groceries, sundries and operating equipment, and replenish stock and raise purchase orders for the Director of Purchasing's approval.
• Handle goods delivery to hotel departments, including loading and unloading carts, and keep the loading dock and receiving areas secure, clean and organized.
• Assist with cleaning and re-organizing storerooms, help the cost controller research cost discrepancies, and perform other duties assigned by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.
