Subsystem Technical Manager – Automotive E&E

About the role

The Subsystem Technical Manager will lead the development of electrical and electronic (E&E) subsystems for automotive projects, from request for quotation (RFQ) through industrial launch. You will act as the primary technical interface with OEMs, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring compliance with customer standards and delivering high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define technical roadmaps, development plans, milestones, and resource allocation for E&E subsystems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage project planning, budget, KPIs, risks, and reporting.
• Lead the definition and validation of Electrical & Electronic Architecture and subsystem integration.
• Oversee the development of Electrical Distribution Systems, wiring harnesses, cabling, and mechatronic systems.
• Ensure compliance with APQP/PAPP deliverables and customer quality requirements.
• Support industrialization, production launch, and product transfer to manufacturing.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and rapid resolution of E&E defects.
• Coordinate RFQ activities, propose optimized technical solutions, and provide cost estimations.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and engineering efficiency.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of automotive engineering experience, including work with OEMs.
• Proven experience in subsystem technical management or technical project leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
