Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure that all components supplied to Lear meet the highest quality standards, manage PPAP approvals, and drive continuous improvement across the supplier base.

Key responsibilities

• Implement incoming inspection organization and component inspection processes.
• Monitor supplier claims, investigations (G8D), and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Validate and approve component PPAPs and conduct Fit and Function tests for new parts.
• Audit component warehouses, picking areas, and transportation trucks.
• Track component shelf life, storage conditions, and supplier‑initiated changes.
• Identify under‑performing suppliers and follow up on action plans.
• Participate in control plan and PFMEA development and ensure their execution.
• Ensure suppliers use problem‑solving methodologies and quality tools.
• Report quality KPIs accurately and support internal and corporate procedures.
• Coach and develop the quality team under your responsibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+5) in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in automotive wiring quality.
• Strong problem‑solving expertise (G8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, requirements and drawings.
• High attention to detail.
