Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Lear, a global automotive technology leader, is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer for its Tangier site in Morocco. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of supplied components, managing PPAP approvals, and driving continuous improvement across the supplier base.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage the incoming inspection organization for components.
• Monitor supplier claims, investigations (G8D), and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Ensure PPAP approval for all incoming parts and conduct fit‑and‑function testing of new components.
• Audit component warehouses, picking areas, and transportation trucks.
• Track component shelf life, storage conditions, and manage supplier‑initiated changes.
• Identify under‑performing suppliers and follow up on action‑plan effectiveness.
• Participate in control‑plan and PFMEA development and ensure execution.
• Apply problem‑solving methodologies and quality tools with suppliers.
• Report quality KPIs accurately and support internal and corporate procedures.
• Coach and develop the quality team under your responsibility.

Required profile

• Experience in supplier quality within the automotive or related manufacturing sector.
• Familiarity with PPAP, G8D, PFMEA, and control‑plan processes.
• Ability to conduct audits, investigations, and drive corrective actions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
