Tax Accountant – Morocco & Tunisia

About the role
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to ensure full tax compliance for our operations in Morocco and Tunisia. The role involves preparing and filing tax returns, supporting audits, and advising local teams on tax matters.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty and other applicable returns on time.
- Maintain and reconcile tax balance‑sheet accounts and monitor tax calendars for payments and deadlines.
- Provide tax advisory on legislative changes, system updates and process modifications.
- Review procurement and sales invoices for tax compliance and reconcile registers with returns.
- Support tax audits by gathering documentation, providing analysis and liaising with tax authorities.
- Collaborate with regional and global tax teams to communicate updates and ensure consistent application.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of Moroccan and Tunisian tax legislation (VAT, CIT, WHT, stamp duty).
- Experience in preparing and filing corporate tax returns and handling tax audits.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
