Tax Specialist

About the role

Huawei, a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its finance team. The role focuses on ensuring accurate tax compliance across the organisation and supporting strategic tax planning. You will work closely with internal departments, external auditors and tax authorities to safeguard the company’s tax position.

Key responsibilities

• Filing the company’s tax returns and maintaining documentation of all tax‑related activities.
• Preparing tax reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assessing potential tax risks and ensuring compliance with applicable tax regulations.
• Interacting with internal stakeholders, external auditors and tax authorities, providing expert advice on tax matters.
• Researching tax laws, monitoring regulatory changes and analysing their impact on the organisation’s tax position.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate tax filing and compliance.
• Strong understanding of local tax regulations and ability to assess tax risks.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with auditors, tax authorities and internal teams.
• Ability to conduct research on tax legislation and interpret its implications.
