Technologist

About the role

As a Technologist at TE, you will work with diverse teams to set up, fabricate, assemble, maintain and test machinery and equipment for experimental and prototype projects. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality components while supporting product development from ideation to introduction.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools according to established machining procedures.
• Fabricate and assemble prototype‑level components to specification.
• Perform quality checks on finished products, document defects and investigate root causes.
• Interpret blueprints and design documents to create prototype models and generate toolpaths.
• Audit parts availability and ensure all necessary components are on hand for build, repair and test activities.
• Monitor preventive maintenance, calibrate equipment and ensure routine service compliance.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in machining, prototyping or industrial production.
• High school diploma required; vocational training or an associate degree preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with technical documentation and maintain rigorous quality standards.
