Technologist (Machine Tool & Prototype)

About the role

TE is looking for a Technologist to set up, fabricate, assemble, maintain and test machine tools and equipment used for experimental projects. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn design concepts into functional prototypes while ensuring safety, quality and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools according to established machining procedures.
• Fabricate, assemble, maintain and test prototype components and experimental equipment.
• Perform quality inspections on finished parts, document defects and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Interpret blueprints and design documents to develop prototype models and generate toolpaths.
• Audit parts inventory to guarantee availability for build, repair and testing activities.
• Establish and refine machining processes for prototype production.
• Monitor preventive maintenance, calibrate equipment and ensure routine service compliance.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of relevant experience in machining, prototyping or industrial production.
• High school diploma required; vocational training or an associate degree preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to integrity, accountability, inclusion, innovation and teamwork.
