Test Engineer – Vehicle Networking & Diagnostics

About the role

As a Test Engineer you will support the development of current and future vehicle projects by performing and analysing network and diagnostic tests. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure test environments and documentation meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and analyse network and diagnostic tests for vehicle projects.
• Develop and maintain customer‑specific test environments and specifications.
• Coordinate test activities across multiple locations.
• Analyse communication and diagnostic protocols.
• Create and keep test documentation up to date.
• Align test activities with customer requirements.
• Contribute to the evolution of test methods, automation and validation processes.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, automotive engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience testing vehicle networks and communication protocols.
• Knowledge of the Vector toolchain (CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL).
• Basic understanding of test automation (CAPL, Python or C#).
• Structured, analytical work style and strong team orientation.
• English proficiency of at least B1 level; German is a plus.

• CAPL scripting.
• Python programming.
