Test Specification Engineer

About the role

The Test Specification Engineer is responsible for the end‑to‑end definition and maintenance of test specifications, ensuring full traceability between requirements, test design, and validation results within complex automotive systems, with a focus on steering systems and ECU testing.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain test specifications for complex automotive systems, ensuring traceability from requirements to results.
• Create high‑quality test cases for HiL, SiL and vehicle testing, and perform coverage analysis.
• Review and optimise existing specifications and support test strategy definition.
• Align with stakeholders in Germany, OEMs and suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in ECU, steering/braking or vehicle control system testing.
• Experience with European OEMs, preferably VW.
• Professional proficiency in English; German is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently without detailed instructions.
