Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will oversee and steer transportation activities within Magna’s Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group, ensuring compliance with regulatory, economic and safety requirements while supporting the development of automotive technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage transport operations in line with regulatory, cost and safety constraints.
• Select appropriate transport solutions and develop tailored transport plans.
• Identify, evaluate and contract carriers, service providers and subcontractors based on volume, deadlines, product type and cost considerations.
• Negotiate freight rates and service terms with selected carriers.
• Establish, monitor and analyse performance indicators for transport activities.
• Produce regular transport performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating transport or logistics functions.
• Strong understanding of transport regulations, safety standards and cost optimisation.
• Ability to negotiate with carriers and manage supplier relationships.
• Analytical mindset for tracking KPIs and generating reports.
