Assistant Manager – Restaurant

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Restaurant will support daily restaurant operations, help with menu planning, maintain sanitation standards, and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. This full‑time position reports to the Restaurant Director or Manager and works on‑site at the Fes location.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising restaurant staff, handling employee questions, and providing performance feedback.
• Monitor supplies, equipment, and uniform availability for all team members.
• Communicate food‑quality and service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Ensure compliance with restaurant policies, sanitation standards, and local alcohol service laws.
• Manage budgeted financial goals and oversee opening and closing procedures.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints, and promote excellent customer service.
• Conduct training initiatives, coach employees, and enforce performance expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hospitality, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or related field with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, handle guest issues, and maintain operational standards.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
