Commis de Cuisine – Full-time at Rabat Marriott Hotel

About the role

The Rabat Marriott Hotel is seeking a motivated Commis de Cuisine to join its Food & Beverage team. This full‑time position supports the kitchen by preparing meals, maintaining quality standards, and assisting the culinary team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods and standard dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Pull items from freezer storage, thaw them safely, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and overall food quality.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food to chefs and service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching kitchen staff.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, report incidents and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work extended periods standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lb and performing repetitive kitchen tasks.
