Computer Vision Engineer

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join its Machine Learning and Computer Vision team. The role will focus on building core technical components for robotics and aerospace projects that support autonomous defense systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on state‑of‑the‑art computer vision methods and contribute to scientific publications.
• Create, curate, and validate training and validation datasets, performing statistical analyses and building visualization tools to ensure data quality.
• Design, implement, and optimise computer‑vision algorithms and training pipelines to improve model performance across multiple projects.
• Deploy ML/CV models into production‑ready environments, integrate them with Harmattan AI’s systems, and perform rigorous code reviews.
• Test algorithms in real‑world settings, develop monitoring tools, and continuously track and improve model performance.
• Collaborate closely with software and simulation teams to align development with system requirements and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree from a top‑tier engineering school (Master’s in Computer Science or related field; PhD is a plus).
• Strong mathematical foundation and proven hands‑on experience with machine learning and computer vision projects.
• Passion for cutting‑edge AI research and the ability to work with diverse, high‑performing teams.
