Customs Declaration Coordinator

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding in Morocco is looking for a CDZ Declaration Coordinator to manage customs and trade‑compliance processes, ensuring smooth clearance of freight documentation. You will work closely with customers and customs authorities to guarantee regulatory compliance and cost‑effective operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate customs and trade‑compliance plans to optimise service and cost performance.
• Advise and mentor team members on daily tasks to meet schedules and targets.
• Research, obtain and manage permits, licences, certificates and authorisations required for customs clearance.
• Prepare customs declarations and related documents describing shipped goods.
• Process, handle and distribute export/import documents in line with regulations and internal procedures.
• Review shipped items, validate dates, and manage duties/tariffs with government institutions.
• Set operational objectives for the team, arrange pickups, finalise bookings and optimise booking efficiency.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve incidents and ensure compliance with import/export control legislation.

Required profile

• Vocational, specialised or technical certification related to customs or logistics.
• More than 2 years of experience in customs, trade compliance or freight forwarding.
