Développeur(se) PL/SQL Senior

About the role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join our technical teams. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality database development, managing batch processes and driving SQL performance optimisation across large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers and packages.
• Translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Perform SQL query and batch‑process tuning, indexing and execution‑plan analysis.
• Participate in data‑model design and evolution (conceptual and logical models).
• Maintain and evolve existing applications, providing corrective and functional updates.
• Produce technical documentation such as data dictionaries, specifications and test reports.
• Execute unit and integration tests, support user‑acceptance testing and production roll‑out.
• Collaborate with functional teams, DBAs and project managers, offering Level 2/3 production support.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and promote development best practices.

Required profile

• Master’s level degree (Bac+5) in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on PL/SQL development in a production environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, autonomy and rigor.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and performance optimisation.
• Technical English is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, triggers, cursors, exceptions).
• Deep knowledge of Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c) and tools such as SQL Developer and Toad.
• SQL performance tuning (EXPLAIN PLAN, hints, indexing).
• Relational data modelling.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (ODI, Talend) – appreciated.
• Version control with Git.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Integration experience with Java/J2EE or .NET.
• Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Scheduling tools (Control‑M, AutoSys) – appreciated.
