Functional Technical Consultant

About the role

HCL Technologies is seeking a Functional Technical Consultant to implement and configure Digital Engagement solutions for its clients. You will work closely with the SBS R&D teams, guide customers through deployment, and contribute to product improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop expertise in implementing and configuring Digital Engagement solutions.
• Provide functional support and advice throughout deployment projects.
• Participate in bidding phases to secure estimates.
• Lead customer workshops to clarify needs, scope, and solution configuration.
• Assist customers or partners with integration projects, including sequence diagrams, mappings, and API documentation.
• Configure solutions according to specifications and create test plans for validation.
• Support customers during UAT, qualify complex issues, and coordinate with R&D for resolutions.
• Monitor project progress, manage backlogs, and produce demos or procedural documentation.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Analyst or Product Owner roles with IT development and analysis background.
• Autonomous, proactive, and able to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Strong adaptability to multicultural environments.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of REST APIs and micro‑services architecture.
• Experience with testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, K6.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (GitLab, Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of multi‑cloud delivery principles (API Portal, Gateway, proxy, Kubernetes, bundles).
• Proficiency with IT development environments and tools (Git, front‑end/back‑end technologies).
