Global Legacy Fundraising Lead

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a senior global expert to lead its Legacy Fundraising function. The Global Legacy Fundraising Lead will design, implement and continuously evolve the organisation’s Legacy Strategy, positioning gifts in wills as a core driver of long‑term unrestricted income.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and roll‑out a global Legacy Strategy aligned with the organisation’s growth agenda.
• Establish and chair an Executive‑level Legacy Acceleration group to drive cross‑market collaboration.
• Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to member offices on legacy fundraising best practices.
• Strengthen legacy pipelines, shape market‑specific strategies and build fundraising capacity worldwide.
• Oversee a project budget of $20‑50K and influence global legacy budgets of several million dollars.
• Collect, analyse and report global fundraising and marketing KPIs, and coordinate international benchmarking initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in legacy or gifts‑in‑wills fundraising within an international or large‑scale non‑profit environment.
• Strong strategic leadership and cross‑cultural collaboration skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Right to work in the country of assignment and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
