IT Support Engineer – Plant & Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking proactive IT Support Engineers to provide on‑site technical assistance across manufacturing and industrial sites. The role combines day‑to‑day user support, desktop and application troubleshooting, and participation in infrastructure projects such as Windows upgrades and device refreshes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st/2nd/3rd line support for Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals and standard office applications.
• Assist users with hardware, software, login, connectivity and application issues.
• Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments, including Active Directory.
• Handle local networking problems and basic Cisco equipment.
• Participate in Windows upgrade, PC refresh and migration projects.
• Maintain printers, scanners and other workplace technology.
• Provide basic support for virtual environments such as VMware.
• Help resolve MS SQL‑related application/database issues and liaise with specialist DBAs.
• Support MES/manufacturing systems, CAD applications and backup/recovery tools like Rubrik.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests, and maintain local IT documentation and asset records.
• Collaborate with central IT and specialist teams for escalations and provide coverage for neighbouring sites when needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, service desk, field or site support, or DBA roles.
• Strong Windows desktop support background and familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Good communication and customer‑facing skills, able to work independently on‑site.
• Willingness to support users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
