Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Hexcel is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its Casablanca site, supporting the production of advanced lightweight composite materials. The role focuses on maintaining equipment reliability, safety and efficiency while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all machinery complies with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
• Perform routine inspections, servicing and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve efficiency.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Train staff on safe equipment use and emergency procedures.
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialised repairs.
• Manage plant maintenance KPI dashboard and ensure audit compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2‑5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Eligibility to work in Morocco.

Required skills

• Experience with PLCs, robotics or advanced automation systems.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and maintenance software (CMMS).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
