Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Automotive

About the role

Join Lear Corporation as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality across automotive manufacturing operations. You will work within the Quality organization, collaborating closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to protect customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality planning and control activities for assigned products and processes.
• Analyze internal and external quality data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methods (e.g., 8D).
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to meet delivery dates and quality expectations.
• Support new product and process launches through APQP, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Ensure compliance with customer, internal, and regulatory quality requirements (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
• Coordinate internal, customer, and third‑party quality audits.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to reduce defects and variation.
• Prepare and present quality performance metrics to stakeholders and leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry (molding and assembly).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate quality issues clearly.
• Proficient English communication skills.
