Manufacturing Quality Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at TE, you will ensure that all production lines meet the highest quality standards while complying with IATF 16949 and specific customer requirements. You will lead cross‑functional teams to monitor performance, investigate complaints, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Quality Assurance system in line with IATF 16949 and customer specifications.
• Monitor internal PPM, perform root‑cause analysis and define corrective actions.
• Lead regular PPM review meetings with cross‑functional participants.
• Manage the Line Inspectors team and ensure quality compliance on all assigned manufacturing lines.
• Execute and follow up on firewalls, containment actions and stock segregation for customer complaints.
• Provide traceability data and manufacturing records to support complaint investigations.
• Implement key quality strategies, Business Operating System updates and EMEA guidelines.
• Enforce safety, environmental and legal regulations and support employees in achieving sustainability goals.
• Authority to stop shipments or production when a quality issue is identified.
• Prepare line documentation (CP, QIP, failure catalogue, control cards) for customer audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Quality Management systems based on IATF 16949.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of Line Inspectors.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and corrective‑action planning.
• Authority and willingness to halt production or shipments for quality concerns.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental and legal compliance in a manufacturing environment.
