Materials Compliance Engineer

About the role

As a Materials Compliance Engineer you will ensure that all automotive and aerospace components meet EU regulatory requirements. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and supplier teams to guarantee material safety and regulatory conformity.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply EU regulations such as REACH, ELV and SCIP to product designs.
• Collect, analyse and validate IMDS/MSDS data for compliance verification.
• Update CATIA drawings and perform CAE structural modifications according to regulatory guidance.
• Conduct supplier surveys, evaluate chemical management processes and negotiate corrective actions.
• Develop and execute action plans to eliminate regulated substances from the bill of materials.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate regulatory documentation.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs or material assessment within automotive, aerospace or manufacturing.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of EU regulations, especially REACH.
• Proficiency in both French and English.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to high‑quality engineering work.
