ME Project Engineer

About the role

As an ME Project Engineer at TE Connectivity, you will lead cross‑functional projects from the initial RFI/RFQ stage through to full release, ensuring alignment with the ME strategy and delivering on schedule, budget and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Align project team and stakeholders to the ME strategy.
• Manage projects from RFI/RFQ to full release, including on‑site and supplier acceptance.
• Develop, monitor and adjust project schedules and budgets.
• Drive KPIs, track engineering hours and ensure targets are met.
• Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, product engineering, operations and other functions.
• Lead internal ME team and supplier activities, conduct regular progress meetings and prepare status reports.
• Identify, mitigate and manage financial risks and cost overruns.
• Implement risk‑management strategies and ensure compliance with quality and EHS standards.
• Maintain accurate project dashboards, documentation and return‑of‑experience records.
• Lead parallel innovation projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related).
• 2‑5 years of experience as a project engineer in automotive or a related industry.
• Strong project monitoring and coordination abilities with solid technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Ability to analyse complex technical data and interpret engineering designs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset, result‑driven, adaptable and resilient.
• Experience with MS Project, CAD tools and SAP.
• Advantageous: experience in assembly processes, special machinery development, VBA, PowerBI and dashboard creation.
