Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager leads yard and facility operations for Copart, ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to company standards. Reporting to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager, this role builds and manages a high‑performing team while maintaining operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, hire, train and support staff to meet performance and service goals.
• Ensure daily operations meet or exceed company standards and customer expectations.
• Manage scheduling, attendance, payroll and cash handling, including daily bank deposits.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and oversee vendor contracts and compliance documentation.
• Ensure equipment and facility maintenance, including safety protocols.
• Address staff and customer concerns professionally and foster positive employee relations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, process compliance, and respond to facility alarms when needed.
• Travel occasionally to other locations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of operations management or related experience.
• High School Diploma (GED) required; some college preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, develop and motivate staff.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Fluency in English; bilingual ability is a plus.
• Valid transportation for site accessibility.
