Postdoctoral Researcher – Optical & Laser Diagnostics for Plasma

About the role

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to lead experimental investigations on plasma propagation in open atmosphere and plasma‑surface interactions. The work will be carried out within the Applied Chemistry and Engineering Research Center of Excellence (ACER‑CoE) at UM6P, using state‑of‑the‑art optical and laser diagnostic tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments on non‑thermal plasma propagation and surface interaction.
• Develop and apply advanced optical and laser diagnostic techniques to characterize reactive species.
• Analyze experimental data, model plasma dynamics, and interpret chemical processes.
• Prepare scientific reports, conference presentations, and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members from chemistry, physics, and engineering.

Required profile

• PhD in plasma physics, chemical engineering, optics, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory plasma research and diagnostic measurements.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a research environment.
