Railway Validation and Verification Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Validation and Verification Engineer to join our railway team. You will focus on testing embedded systems for signalling subsystems, ensuring safety‑critical compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define, update and execute test strategies based on system and functional requirements.
• Design, execute and maintain test cases and validation procedures for railway signalling subsystems.
• Perform non‑regression, delta and gap testing to verify system stability.
• Set up, maintain and support test environments, including test benches, HIL/SIL platforms and laboratory rigs.
• Investigate, track and coordinate anomaly resolution through Change Request and defect management processes.
• Collaborate with Design, Software and RAMS teams to implement corrective actions and close issues.
• Produce test reports, analyse results and provide validation recommendations.
• Document V&V knowledge to facilitate knowledge transfer and team upskilling.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in embedded systems or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in system/product validation, functional testing or integration in a safety‑critical industry (rail, aerospace, automotive).
• Proven ability to manage requirements traceability and validation evidence using tools such as DOORS, Reqtify or EWM.
