Responsable Maintenance des Engins

About the role

The Maintenance Manager for Rolling Equipment will report to the Director of Utilities & Equipment and will be responsible for all maintenance activities of the site’s rolling fleet. The role ensures equipment reliability, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for the equipment fleet.
• Manage relationships with manufacturers and suppliers of parts and maintenance tools.
• Monitor maintenance interventions, analyse performance, and propose cost‑saving and utilization improvements.
• Control the maintenance and operating budget for the equipment.
• Maintain technical documentation and stay updated on technological advances.
• Lead the team to achieve departmental objectives and ensure no equipment failure disrupts production.
• Apply maintenance policies, programs, procedures, and health‑and‑safety rules in accordance with regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Bac+5) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within heavy industry (steel, foundry, cement, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of rolling equipment operation.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS/GMAO).
• Leadership, team spirit, organizational skills and effective communication.
