Technical Consultant (Mainframe & Modern Platforms)

About the role

The Technical Consultant will serve as the primary point of contact for clients using our Output Management software suite. You will provide end‑to‑end technical support for both legacy mainframe environments and modern Windows/Linux/Kubernetes platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client relationships and act as the first line of contact for technical inquiries.
• Deliver Level 1, 2, and 3 support for software running on IBM z/OS (MVS) at client sites.
• Diagnose and resolve complex incidents, develop patches for COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF modules, and oversee their deployment.
• Collaborate with R&D, product experts, and client operations to ensure seamless issue resolution.
• Define and execute non‑regression test suites, author technical documentation, and maintain knowledge‑base articles.
• Provide L1/L2 support for modern platforms (Windows, Linux, Kubernetes) and assist the Services team with document design projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• 2‑5 years of experience in technical support or engineering roles.
• Fluent French and professional English communication skills.
• Strong client‑facing attitude, analytical thinking, and ability to work autonomously.

Required skills

• IBM z/OS (MVS) ecosystem mastery.
• Expertise in JCL and COBOL programming.
• Solid understanding of VSAM file management.
• Knowledge of Output Management workflows (print shop, AFP formats).
• Experience with ticketing systems such as Zoho Desk and collaboration platforms like MS SharePoint.
• Proficiency in MS Word and familiarity with Windows, Linux, Kubernetes environments.
