Trim Developer (R&D)

About the role

Lear Corporation is seeking a Trim Developer for its R&D team at the Rabat Technopolis Tech Center. You will be responsible for developing trim covers that meet customer design intent, cost targets and plant feasibility while ensuring product compliance and robustness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop trim covers aligned with design intent, STO, master pattern and BOM.
• Create and modify industrial patterns, BOMs and sewing work instructions.
• Set up sewing machines, execute various seam types and produce final covers for master models.
• Generate Mylar master patterns with detailed annotations and prepare drawing mark‑ups.
• Train plant operators, conduct 5S audits and support internal customer reviews.
• Detect and resolve trim‑cover and seat issues, including handling pyrotechnic (airbag) elements.

Required profile

• Bac+2 technical degree.
• Good knowledge of sewing, trimming and trim assembly processes.
• Experience with CAD tools (PDS or similar) and material composition.
• Strong analytical mindset, time‑management skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced TDC environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in English and French, with good presentation and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Operation of various sewing machines, joining, twining, decking and piping.
• Creation of trim‑cover BOMs and sewing work instructions.
• CAD software usage for pattern design (PDS or equivalent).
• Knowledge of material compositions and utilization.
• Conducting 5S audits and implementing continuous‑improvement actions.
